PLEASE NOTE, we will not ship these until weather permits! Plants are pulled from my personal propagation patch that will set and spread. These plants can be shocked when shipping and planting. Expect the foliage to wilt or dry out and experience transplant shock, but let them adjust for a few days in the shade outdoors or keep them inside until ready to plant. Keep them watered when the soil dries out and they revive very quickly! These benefit to be gently removed and not have the roots disturbed. *They do not like their roots handled.

PRE-ORDERS SHIP WHEN THE PLANT IS IN SEASON AND TEMPS LOOK GOOD FOR SHIPPING. SINCE THIS IS A RARE MAGICKAL PLANT, WE ASK THAT YOU TREAT HER WITH CARE.

BE AWARE, THIS PLANT MAY ARRIVE WITH SOME SHIPPING DISTRESS. WITH GOOD CARE IT BOUNCES BACK IN NO TIME. IT MAY ARRIVE IN A BAG TO PREVENT HUMIDITY LOSS.

Dittany has been written about by Agrippa, as a solar herb and is commonly used in magickal grimoire recipes, but referred to only as Dittany. It has been called one of the most magickal of all plants. It was also used in Harry Potter as Dittany, for the heal all spell by Hermione.

It is extremely hard to find as a living plant and almost as hard to find as a dried plant. It is a small and compact plant that is best for personal use.

I've found anytime I work with her in the greenhouse, I have been asked for offerings from Hecate, as I work with her directly. Don't forget your offerings if you work with her, or expect some difficulty to grow this plant.

MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE PRIORITY SHIPPING FOR LIVE PLANTS. WE WILL NOT SHIP THESE WITHOUT PRIORITY.

Our plants are sourced from ethical locations, grown by hand with love and treated as organic and natural as possible. We use neem and nematodes to fight natural pests and try to give you the healthiest plant baby possible.

Growing Suggestions: Perennial / Shrub

  • Water normally, likes to gently dry out between waterings
  • Prefers Mediterranean-like qualities in heat and temps.
  • Sun Exposure: Full sun to partial shade
  • Mature Height: 12"
  • Spacing: 12" (slow spreading)
  • Hardiness: USDA Zone 7-11 (Do not expose to frost). I bring mine indoors for overwintering.

These are living plants and to ensure they arrive alive, make sure to choose priority shipping. When you receive your plant, make sure to bring it in from extreme temperatures and follow recommendations for each plant type.  If your plant arrives dry, water immediately and place in a warm location with filtered light so it can adjust and not be shocked into it's new environment.

*Although we source high-quality herbs and roots, these are not intended for ingestion. Use at your own risk. Many of our live plants or seeds to grow on your own are toxic to handle or ingest.
