This is our first live event that we are having in 2 years! Due to the spread of COVID, this class requires being masked during the event and a limited number of people for social distancing.
By request, we are working on a kitchen broom. These are functional brooms for the home and magickal workings. We will go over some of the magickal ways to use a broom, and then we will make one in-person, with one-on-one help from your instructor and head witch, Erika of Queen Meb.
This workshop comes with the materials you need for making your broom class, but please keep in mind some materials like colors for brooms may be limited. SALES CLOSE AFTER THE FIRST SPOTS HAVE BEEN FILLED AND NOTE THERE WILL BE NO RESTROOM.
**this class will retail as a digital version for $180 online with no broom kit, so this will be an affordable option for learning the craft and making your own broom.
This class with be held at the store at 1902 NE Broadway in Portland, OR on Saturday July 30th, 2022 4:30-6:30 PM. This is a very limited event and materials will be made and purchased for the event so there is no refunds on the event.
Our Broom Making Story:
One of my (Erika’s) ancestors is a Lenape indigenous woman who was known to travel around, sell brooms, linens, tell fortunes, and heal people with herbs. This is something that has been on repeat in the back of my mind.
I have struggled to get brooms in when the demand is up at the store and I have chosen to honor my ancestors by creating a series of brooms in my own design inspired by my multi-influenced heritage.
