Warrior Goddess of the Wind. Mother of nine children.
Ọya is an orisha of winds, lightning, and violent storms, death and rebirth. She is similar to the Haitian god Maman Brigitte, who is synchronized with the Catholic Saint Brigit.
She creates change of fortune and power in action. Ruler of lightning, tornadoes, cemeteries and marketplaces. Her motherly strength inspires us to embrace change and learn from it.
