Rainbow Obsidian or Cat’s Eye Obsidian is a variant of Obsidian. 

All forms of Obsidian are very protective. It resonates with the inner goddess and shadow integration, but is gentle enough for those who are sensitive in nature.

Rainbow obsidian helps one recover from emotional wounds, bringing the shadow into the light, and helps lingering emotional trauma, so it can heal. It is both grounding and brightening to the aura and body systems. It is great for depression and mood swings, and stressful times.
